"In the Estate of George Hall, deceased.
"Sale of Stations.
"Dear Sir, —I am told there is a rumour that the sale of
the several Stations belonging to this Estate, advertised by
you, is not intended as a bona fide sale, but that the stations
are to be put up only to ascertain their value, or for the
purpose of some partnership or family arrangement.
As the Solicitor for the Estate, I beg to assure you that
there is not a shadow of foundation for any such statement,
as the stations are for absolute sale, and will be sold to the
highest bidder, and I request that you will give the utmost
publicity to this fact. If any member of the late
Mr. George Hall's family should become the purchaser
of any of the stations it will be only as a bona fide
purchaser and the highest bidder, and subject to the same
terms and conditions as they are offered to the public.
So far from its being intended to offer them for sale with
a view to a family arrangement, it has been expressly
agreed by all parties interested that, instead of making
a partition of the stock and stations, the whole shall be
absolutely sold and the proceeds divided.
