Rev Dr Clive Ayre's compilation of 150 years of Slaughter in Australia 1999 reveals that Mayford William Sexton was born to Fanny Sexton nee Slaughter and father William in 1873. Fanny died of consumption in 1875 and her husband then married Florence Susannah Brigg in 1876. M.W. Sexton is a direct descendant of Alfred Slaughter snr, and some details here were discovered through my own Slaughter research as a descendant of both Alfred Slaughter snr, and his older brother Thomas Slaughter snr.
