I gather this is Edith Mutch, who was the wife of NSW Labor Party MLA (and NSW Education Minister) Tom Mutch...she's outside University Chambers, in Phillip St, in Sydney...I suspect this pic might have been taken in 1926 or 1927, at the time of the divorce proceedings which she brought against her husband...<br/><br/>Looks like solicitor Mervyn Finlay Snr is standing in the background at the top of the stairs...but it's difficult to be certain...per the various newspaper reports, Finlay acted as Mrs Mutch's lawyer during the divorce proceeding...
