In 1903-04 the Oriental Bank building was remade as the Dixson Buildings...a good deal of the decorative Pitt St facade was incorporated within the new structure and it remained in place until the Dixson Buildings were demolished in 1928 to make way for the new SMH Building...<br/><br/><a href='https://trove.nla.gov.au/work/189730457'>https://trove.nla.gov.au/work/189730457</a> - this 1911 pic of the old SMH Building etc shows the facade of the former Oriental Bank building incorporated within the Dixson Buildings...see comments/links here...
