Biographies

Ross Tellam is an expert in bovine and ovine genomics, who, in 2011 was employed as Chief Research Scientist in the CSIRO's Division of Livestock Industries. His research interest lies in the relationships between gene and function and encompass the molecular events contributing to livestock production traits. He was significantly involved in the deciphering of the sheep and cattle genomes in 2009, a landmark achievement. Ross has published over 100 scientific articles. In 2014 Ross Tellam became a Member of the Order of Australia for services to science relating to field livestock productivity and sustainability.
