Biographies

Bobbie Fenner was an unpaid technical assistant for her husband, Frank, at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute. With her husband, she donated money for the Annual Frank and Bobbie Fenner Symposia on Medical Research, held at the John Curtin School of Medical Research, and for the Fenner Conferences on the Environment, held at the Australian Academy of Science.

  • Career position - Trained and worked as a Nurse in Perth and completed a certificate in Infant Welfare
  • Career position - Served in the Middle East and then in Queensland where she worked on malaria, with the Australian Army Nursing Service
  • Career position - Worked part-time as an unpaid Technical Assistant with her husband, Frank, at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute
  • Award - Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) received
