Biographies

Dr Caleb Gardner
The IMAS Fisheries Program is responsible for delivery of research advice for management of Tasmanian fisheries and also participates in fisheries research around Australia and globally.
Most of my research activity is on fisheries assessments and management with interests in novel management approaches.
I am interested in the use of economics in fisheries science, including improving the utilisation of fisheries though a focus on maximising sustainable economic yield. This interest is also applied in my role as leader of the Future Harvest Theme in the Seafood CRC, which is aiming to increase economic yield from Australia’s largest fisheries sectors.
