ASTERS

Asters can be transplanted or sown direct into the beds, and should be grown about one foot apart, so that the plant can develop fully. The best strain is the Giant Crego Asters, which produce very large, elegant double flowers, with long slender petals, that make a magnificent garden show, and are delightful for indoor decoration. The The seed should be sown In the co n*t A nra wr a b ,/?!*? aa£«*#3 Ca* J-1*V _i_* ?

when they were sown direct into the garden. Mixed asters' look well, and they are also very effective when grown in separate colors, such as light and dark blue, pale pink, depe rose, violet, and white. They like an open, sunny position, and plenty of water during dry weather. ? .
