THE ORGANISATION.

Leane's Appreciation.

The State secretary of the Returned boltliers' League (Mr. D. M. Benson) said on Saturday that the Anzac Day subcomimttce of the leacue had been gratified and im

pressed by the attendances by tne puoiic and returned men at services and parades. In «ew of the depressing weather conditions it was most heartening to those responsible for the organisation of the many details of the day. The league had received valuable voluntary assistance from everyone. His Excellency the Governor, Cabinet Ministers, and even the small boy seen walking alone through the dark streets to attend the dawn service at the State War Memorial, had all contributed to a memorable commemoration of Anzac. He wished to make public acknowledgement of the aid extended by the military authorities and Colonel Wieck's help on the parade ground, to the Press, the City Council and the Police Department, to Mr. R. Heath (superintendent of King's Park), Miss M. Meares and Mr. Bert Bushel, who made arrangements for the hospital cars, the Legacy Club, all the churches and unit associations and the boy scouts who distributed hymn sheets. The inspiring march of troops through the streets of Perth was made possible by the bands participating. These were the Caledonian Pipers, R.S.L. Perth City. Salvation Army, Coastal Scottish Pipers. Y.A.L.. ll-16th. 28th and 44th Battalion Militia Bands. The thanks of the league were also due to Colonel Margolin, the chief marshal, and his assistants, together with the office staff of the Returned Soldiers' League, all of whom contributed efficient services to the day's programme.
