WASHINGTON, Dec. 13 (Â.A.P.).-Australia is negotia-ting for the purchase of 12 Lockheed Neptune long-range reconnaissance bombers from thc United States.

The Ncptunes would be of a later type than the "Truculent Turtle," which set up the world record long-distance flight of 11.250 miles without refuelling. The latest-type Neptune, known ss thc JP-233, is used by the U.S. Navy for general recon-naissance and anti-submarine
