WIFE'S PENDING SUIT

£500 ALIMONY CLAIM

Leonard Adrian Dnngar, well-known grazier, of Warialda. and Reginald Neville Dangnr, solicitor, of Sydney, were stated to he defendants In a pending suit mentioned to Mr. Justice Stephen In Chambers in in-

terlocutory proceedings yesterday. Plaintiff Is Mary Sinclair Dangar, of Double Bay. formerly the wife of Leonard Adrian Dangar. Plaintiff Is claiming £509 which, she alleges, is due under a deed of permanent alimony drawn up when

plaintiff's marriage to L. A. Dangar was dissolved. Formerly, plaintiff said, every three months she had given defendants an assurance that she had not re-mar-ried. In recent months, this assur-ance was not given by her, and the last two alimony payments had been withheld. Defendants contended thai the onus rested on plaintiff to show she had not re-married. His Honor granted defendants leave to file certain defence pleas without verification.
