WEDDING.

A pretty wedding was solemnised on Saturday afternoon in St. Paul's Church of England, Kurri Kurri, the contracting parties being Sarah (Molly) Makin, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Makin, of Abordare-street, Kurri Kurri, and Stanley Vincent Witherspoon, only son of Mr. Alexander Witherspoon, of Hunter street, West Maitland.

Rev. C. W. White was the officiating clergyman. The bridesmaids were Miss Henrietta May Makin, sister of the bride, and Miss Nellie Norgard, of Mayfield, cousin of the groom. Mr. Richard Makin, brother of the bride, acted as best man. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very pretty in white crepe-de-chene, with wreath and veil. Her sister wore pink crepe-de-chene, with a cream hat trimmed with pink; and Miss Norgard, blue crepe-de-chene, with hat to match. The bride's mother was gowned in a mixed brown chiffon voile with a white and black hat. The reception was held at the bride's parents' home. A handsome three-tier wedding cake was a feature of the table, A large crowd of friends and relatives attended. Among them were, Mr. and Mrs. Brunker (New Lambton), Mr. W. Norgard (Mayfleld), Mr. T. Llewellyn (Wallsend), Mr. and Mrs. Baker (Mayfield), Mr. Torozer (Mayfield), Mr. F. Llewellyn (Gosford), Mr. and Mrs. F. Jenkins, Mr. and Mrs. R. Lown, Mr. G. Tatters, jnr.,Mr. T. King, Mr. J. Rowe, Mr. A. Palmer, and Mr. J. Bainbridge. Mr. and Mrs. Witherspoon are taking up residence in Kurri Kurri.
