    THE STORY SO FAR.—Alan Dundas, a young vinegrower, discovers a mysterious underground structure on his property. After immense labour, and a number of narrow escapes from death by traps, he penetrates to a series of six amazing galleries, in one of which he finds a small temple wherein is the form of a beautiful woman under a glass dome. He calls in the aid of his friend Dr. Barry, and the two proceed to lift the dome.
