Carnival on Monday will csntinos

Speed boat events will com
mence at 10 a-irt., with, trials for
inboard boats, and outboards ?will
be tried at 10.20 a-m. The first
race, a four miles scratch for 3
pointers, will commence at 10.45.
There will be seven speed boat
races during the day.
Junior State swimming' cham
pion, Robbie Norton, will give an
exhibition of swimming at 11
o'clock, and, provided sufficient
competitors are forthcoming, a
100 yards swimming race will
follow.
Several novelty events will be
contested during the day. Such
events as throwing at the wicket,
sheep guessing competition, pil
low fighting on a log in the river,
diving competition and duck hunt
should .cater for all tastes.
A Teenagers* Bathing Beauty
Contest is . beina"jcpnd\icted. Ope in
to all girls between the" ages^tff
13 . and ' 19,* the "event Will be
iudged on a raft in mid-stream.
When judging has been com
pleted, contestants, still aboard
the raft; will be Jtowed along
both sides of the river.
Value of first prize in this con
