RODEO ON BOXING DAY
In preparation for tho stockyard
carnival to be held nt the racecourse
on Boxing Day, members of the Silver
City Show Committee held a meeting
at the secretary's office last night.
Mr. P. J. Potter presided over the
following members:-Messrs. A. Malt
house; W. Carter, D. Blanks, G. Ad-
kins, J, Wilson, H. Karger, R. Moyle,
C. Hannigan, T. Conroy, and the sec-
retary (Mr. J. W. S. Cockrum).
Messrs. W. C. Hannigan and G.
Wilkinson were appointed Judges for
all events at the rodeo.
Pellew and Moore Ltd., J. C. Good,
hart, P. K. Conroy, G. Adkins, W.
Carter, S. Hill, G. Jones, H. C. Web-
ster and Gilbert Bros. advised that
they will donate trophies for thc
events.
Tho minimum weight for all'Taces,
except tho 13.3 pony race, was fixed
at 10 stone, and it was decided to hold
a bending race for girls IC years of
uge and under;
On Saturday, afternoon nt .2.80 p.m.,
an inspection of the racecourse will be
made to enable the committee to make
arrangements for the yards.
