    Edward McNamara was born in Mountshannon, Ireland in 1864. He married Margaret Stuart in 1891 in Melbourne, Victoria before settling in Western Australia.

    He was a police constable (1901-1906). living at Geraldton, Fremantle, Cottesloe, Westonia and Como.

    His children were:

    Margaret Elizabeth (b 1895 Western Australia)
    Delia Clare (b 1897 Geraldton)
    Loretto Josephine (b 1902 Busselton)
