    Public

Australia is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. Transplanted musicians from a huge range of countries and backgrounds have contributed to the very rich menu of musics and musical fusions of all kinds. Australian composers, performers, and scholars actively engage with the musical traditions and innovations of our neighbours in Asia and the Pacific as well as those from Europe.

Examine a sample of the musics of countries in Asia such as China, Thailand, Indonesia, and India, and see how it has been made, played, and studied in Australia.
