    PASTORAL. Drover J. Fitzpatrick left Cue with his plant on Saturday, -en route to Mr. Mc kenzie Grant's Murra Munda station to lift 500 head of cattle for delivery either at Cue or Meekatharra. His instructions are not yet definite as to place of delivery. As the result of the recent rains the Mur- chison River is 17 feet high near Billaba- long, and the Sanford, this side of Twin Peaks is a mile wide. Traffic over this country is at present impossible.

By Wednesday night's train, from Meekatbarra, three bogies of cattle forwarded to Dndatarra on account of Mr. Lee Steere; and three bogies of cattle (Mr. Campbell), and two and a-half bogies of oattle (Sullivan and Bairn) to Elder, Smith and Co., Midland Janction, By the same train three bogies of sheep from the North- West, landed by Drover Fitzpatrick, will be sent on fmm Cue to Elder, Smith and Co.; Midland Junction. The latter in portion of a mob of 4,500 landed at Cue this week. The balanoe was tracked by the ordinary train on Tharsday midday, and a special the same evening

    NORTH-WEST PIONEER The Ute Hrs. ?. Collins The death recently took place at I East Carnarvon of Mrs. Charles Col- lins, of Glenburgh Station. Deceased, who was 64 years of age, was a daughter of the late Mr. John Fitz- patrick and Mrs. Fitzpatrick, pioneers of the Gascoyne district, who took up the Dairy Creek country very many years ago. Her girlhood was spent on Dairy Creek, which in those days was one of the furthest out stations, and many privations and hardships unknown to the present day genera* tion were suffered. As a girl of 23, deceased drove a team across from . the'Moore River to the Carnarvon dis- trict. She left a husband, four sons and four daughters to mourn their loss.
