Summary
  • Most leaders eventually stop being receptive to new ideas and only a few are able or willing to keep on learning once they are in power. It will soon be obvious which category Tony Blair belongs to because he is having to cope with Ken Livingstone, problems in Wales and Scotland and reduced popularity in polls. He will have to accept that if he is going to give people choices then he must accept what they choose rather than trying to force his own ideas on them. He must also permit them to make choices he disagrees with because that is what democracy is all about.
