INDEXES: This set of microfiche are indexes to the passenger lists copied on microfiche from VPRS 7667 and VPRS 7666 for ships from British ports and from foreign ports called: Immigration to Victoria. The passengers were unassisted passengers (their passage was not subsidised by government). These indexes are copied from VPRS 11448 and VPRS 8669/P3. There is also an index on CD-ROM to the passenger lists for 1852 to 1879 called: Immigration to Victoria, index to passenger lists, British and foreign ports 1852-1879. A complete index to the passenger lists from 1852 to 1911 can be seen online at the Public Record Office of Victoria website by clicking on the hotlink above. PASSENGER LISTS: There is a companion set of microfiche of the passenger lists (called Immigration to Victoria) which contain copies of the passenger lists of ships which brought "unassisted" passengers (their passage was not subsidised by government) from British and other overseas ports to Victoria from 1852. The passenger lists include the name of the ship, the captain, the passengers and their children and the occupation of the passengers. There are two sequences of microfiche: Passengers from British ports; and, Passengers from foreign ports.
