Homer surprises Marge with Spa tickets he received for test-driving a car. He arranges for Grandpa to baby-sit the children and soon leave. While at school Bart is found to have head lice, which he received from a monkey Milhouse found in a basket from Pier One. Lisa after having her shoes stolen and being hit in the head with soccer ball is called to the Principal's office for head lice inspection. Skinner under the suspicion that the children are the product of neglect contacts the county welfare office. When they arrive home Homer and Marge discover that their children will be placed in a foster home with the Flanders. Horrified by this thought Marge and Homer plead their case in court. The judge orders them to enroll in a child rearing class for unfit parents. After playing "Bombardment" Bible style Ned realizes that the children have never been baptized, rushing them to the Springfield River. Homer and Marge learn of Ned's plan after completing their class and speed to the river. Homer rescues Bart but suffers a baptism for it, the family is then reunited.
