Summary
The impact of different types of public spending on rural household welfare in Ethiopia is explored focusing on public investments in agriculture, education and road infrastructure. It is found that of the three, road infrastructure has the highest impact. Several steps that may be taken to further gauge the efficiency of public spending are also discussed.
