When Trevor Chaplin, a jazz freak, strikes a deal with a barman for some Bix Beiderbecke tapes, he and his colleague Jill Swinburne find instead of music, high level secret government nuclear policy on one of the tapes. Soon they become watched, pursued and threatened.
