Summary
Youth-workers in SAAP often hear descriptions of their work that are not congruent with the work they carry out. Homeless young people are said to be choosing to live in refuges so they can do what they like (freedom-seekers), or that youth work is akin to baby sitting (stereotypical view of young people) or that the working with young people carries little challenge (young people just need a bit of discipline).
