Analysis of the E-Learning survey at University of Milan. In this work we use several statistical techniques to studythe data from a survey on the faculty staff of the University of Milan on E-Learning practices. In particularly, the analysis wasfocused on the identification of typical profiles of lecturerswith propensity of using E-Learning practice and lecturers withadverse opinion. We also analyzed causes of success and failureof the penetration of E-Learning in the different Schools atthe University of Milan. Techniques of data reduction andadvanced statistical tools (like classification and regression trees, basket analysis, etc.) have been applied and, althoughthe evidence from this study applies only to University of Milan, the proposed framework of analysis is of general applicability.
