Summary
Today all personal computer application is controlled by hardware and software. The next generation returns the PC to the user. In addition to customization, the next generation of software will permit the user to create his own personal applications. Features like calls to the ROM, programming language that error checks and indicates user mistakes, object-oriented graphics, and runtime engines will encourage the production of specific solutions that will require little training or support.
