Several basic international conditions appear to be necessary to improve living standards and growth in least developed countries (LDC) - open and liberalised economic engagement - export-oriented trade strategies - appropriate regulatory framework - necessary conditions for growth, highlighting use through case studies - whether such conditions for growth remain relevant in the context of agriculturally dependent nations - as trade alone cannot improve the situation, interdisciplinary recommendations are made for developing countries, LDCs and the developed world.
