  • SYNOPSIS OF THE PLAYRobina Pennicuicque, a romantic American heiress, escapes from the watchful care of her guardian and comes to an inn in Wales, the scene of a former romance. There she finds Kate Gambett, her former school chum, the chambermaid. Robina persuades Kate to change places with her in order that she may find out whether one of her suitors, Lord Rathbone, loves her or her money. Many complications set in. Lord Rathbone; Kate; Robina; Horace Greenleaf, a solicitor; Susan Rafflton, Lord Rathbone's sister; and Amos Jordan, a "newlyrich" American, become entangled in a very mixed love affair, finally getting into trouble with the police. All ends happily, however; and Robina finally finds that for which she was searching.CAST OF CHARACTERSLord Rathbone Mr. W. L. RandolphHorace Greenleaf Mr. G. M: KellerAmos Jordan Mr. E. L.
