  • The Department of Agronomy and Horticulture is part of the College of Biology and Agriculture. It was created in 1967 when the Department of Agronomy and the Department of Horticulture were merged to strengthen both programs. The new department was part of the College of Biological and Agricultural Science that had been created in 1954. Prior to that, both departments had been members of the College of Applied Sciences. An important part of the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture is the University farm located in Spanish Fork, Utah. This collection is divided into two series: I. Department History Files, 1937-88 and II. Chair Correspondence, 1985-89. Series I contains class lists, grade rolls, lists of graduates, correspondence, commencement programs, a draft of the department history, and other related materials. Series II contains correspondence written by R. D. Horrocks when he was the chair of the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture.
