  • Segmented cladding fibers were fabricated with PMMA polymer. Single-mode operation at 1.55 m was observed with a 36.5-cm long fiber that consisted of 4 cladding segments and had a core diameter, of 20 m. (c) 2003 Optical Society of America. [10 Refs; In English]
