  • MS Acc03/​16 comprises correspondence, reports, literary manuscripts and other papers.
  • The Acc05/​152 instalment comprises correspondence, financial papers, manuscript submissions, contract applications, file copies of publications, orders and sales files, image archives (including discs), folios of artworks, prints, posters, transparencies and framed prints.
  • The Acc06/​112 instalment includes papers relating to Templeman's literary career, Molonglo Press, including a large trade show display, and Pandanus Books. In addition, eight National Library of Australia files.
Biography
  • Publisher, poet and arts administrator. Ian Neil Templeman was born in Western Australia in 1938 and trained as an art and English teacher. In 1972 he was appointed the founding Director of the Fremantle Arts Centre and in this capacity Templeman established the Fremantle Arts Centre Press which acquired a national reputation for discovering and publishing Western Australian writers. Templeman's career also included a term as Deputy Chair of the Australia Council, Assistant Director-General of the National Library of Australia 1990-1997 and Chair of the ACT Cultural Council. In 1997 Templeman founded Molonglo Press to provide publishing opportunities for established and emerging authors. In 1999 he was appointed to establish Pandanus Press, the publishing arm of the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies at the Australian National University. Templeman's own poetry has been published in literary journals and anthologies, including, These glimpsed interiors (1997), and, An incomplete memoir (2000). In 1989 Templeman was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for service to art and literature.
