Summary
With 3000 inhabitants, Palm Island is the largest Aboriginal community in the Great Barrier Reef, most of the original inhabitants having been relocated from other parts of Queensland as a punishment for various "crimes". With no industry to support the community and boredom leading to alcohol abuse, this documentary poses the question: what is the future of this community? Can the government create enough jobs to satisfy people's basic needs?
