  • 243 x 193 mm. A view showing a gold prospectors' camp in a forest clearing with European and Guyanese workers grouped for the photographer in front of tents slung over branches between the trees. One man at the rear of the group displays a Union Jack. The photograph is unsigned, but is probably by J. Siza. The photograph was taken in the 1880s.
