Summary
  • MS 9330 comprises Eccles' typed autobiography; one-page listing of his ancestors dating back to 1781; a one-page abbreviated curriculum vitae; photocopied newspaper article in which Eccles' daughter Mary Mennis talks about her father on the occasion of his 90th birthday; and reproductions of two black and white photographs, one of Eccles and the other of an unidentified woman. There are also photocopies of two letters from Mary Mennis to the National Trust of Australia and the Victorian Department of Education.

The letters are accompanied by pictures of the school and house, as well as a photocopy of an award card of merit received by Eccles while a student in 1911. The collection also includes transcripts of family letters, 1926-1948; and photographs, cartoons and illustrations (some photocopied) (1 box).
  • The Acc12.128 instalment comprises correspondence from Eccles' parents, William and Mary Eccles, newspaper articles, a copy of his birth certificate, a copy of the program from his memorial Mass and published material relating to his Nobel Prize. It also includes a copy of the Eccles family history, Hullo Eccles: the Eccles family 1850 to 2000, written by Mary Mennis (2 folders).
