  • The Mormons have run off 600 head of cattle near Hams Fork, Green River. Colonels Johnston, Alexander, and Cook will join forces and winter in Henry’s Fork, Green River. Governor Cumming and other officers are determined to get into Salt Lake City; the Mormons are resisting military and civil officers and have already skirmished with Alexander’s troops.
