  • The Seventh General Epistle of the Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is quoted in part in the article. The epistle summarizes the recent condition of the Church. The building of the temple will soon commence. More factories are being built (wool, lumber, nails, and ceramics). Iron ore at Coal Creek has been tested and found to be of excellent quality. The Saints are counseled to live in peace with one another and are told to call upon the elders of the Church instead of relying on poisonous medicine for healing. They are also told to sustain and to speak well of the government.
