  • Continuing his criticism of Mormonism, Henry Rowe seeks to expose the character of Parley P. Pratt. Rowe asserts that the Mormon leaders are swindlers, libertines, and hypocrites. He views the law of tithing as the leaders’ tool for swindling; he cites the Church’s poor treatment of Emma Smith after Joseph Smith’s death as an example of the Church’s corruption.
