A correspondent from Warsaw sends word that some men, supposedly Mormons, have attacked a schoolhouse in which a meeting of anti-Mormons was taking place, and the incident has instigated preparation for war and further violence by the anti-Mormons. Mormons are patrolling the southern part of the country, and many are headed to Warsaw for protection. The anti-Mormons are determined to expel every Mormon from Hancock County. J. B. Backentos, the sheriff of Hancock, has issued a proclamation for two thousand men to stand in readiness; the Mormons have had an interview with the anti-Mormons under a flag of truce, but the Mormons’ offer to sell out was rejected. Further discusses the “work of destruction progressing” among the anti-Momons .
