  • A correspondent describes the army’s movements toward Utah. The army’s travels have been difficult because of the weather. Fort Bridger, where the army has stopped for the winter, had been largely destroyed by the Mormons; the army has begun building houses at the fort. The Gentiles have been ordered to leave the territory. Mormons in Salt Lake City have been stealing from stores.
