  • Over seven hundred Mormons have traveled to New York from Europe aboard the William Tapscott, and these Mormons are now stopping in Delaware before moving on to Salt Lake City. Over two hundred are English, and over two hundred are Danish; the rest are Scotch, Irish, Welsh, Swiss, Swedish, and Norwegian. There were nineteen weddings on the ship.
