This paper summarises a report on the impact of pre-schools on academic achievement in primary school. Using data from the Longitudinal Survey of Australian Children (LSAC), the report evaluated the impact of pre-school attendance and pre-school teacher qualifications on matched Year 3 nation-wide NAPLAN test outcomes in the domains of Numeracy, Reading, Spelling, Writing and Grammar.
