Realignment of the Olympic Highway at Kapooka : including new road-over-rail bridge : NSW species impact statement / NSW Government Transport, Roads & Maritime Services.
This Species Impact Statement (SIS) has been prepared by GHD for Roads and Maritime Services for the proposed construction of a new four lane road-over-rail bridge on the Olympic Highway at Kapooka, in accordance with the Director-General’s Requirements (DGRs) issued by the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage on 13 December 2012. The DGRs identified 27 fauna, one flora, one endangered population and two endangered ecological communities as subject species to be assessed through the SIS. Each of the subject species in the DGRs were considered if they were likely to be affected by the proposal. The assessment has taken into account a review of previous records in the study area and locality, species database searches, other surveys in the locality and the results of surveys conducted as part effort to address the DGRs for the proposal.
