Notes
  • The paper explains the organizations set up for control and guidance in the management of forests in private ownership which form a considerable portion of the entire forest estate in Norway. In the management of the forests the chief concern is the depletion of the growing stock by years of dimension cutting. Other organizations control transport, measurement, marketing, and selling which includes price fixation. The paper contains a note on education and ends with a brief comparison between conditions and control in Norway and Britain.
