An account of how Brigham Young requires his wives to work. Ann Eliza’s chief goal in the divorce suit is to gain alimony. Brigham had to allow that Ann Eliza was legally his wife to avoid undermining the system of polygamy. He may now sue the U.S. Marshal for the false imprisonment he suffered during the trial.
