Summary
In the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Ichabod Crane, a superstitious schoolmaster, in love with a wealthy farmer's daughter, has a terrifying encounter with a headless horseman. Rip Van Winkle falls asleep for twenty years in the Catskill Mountains and wakes to a much-changed world.
