North Cronulla Heritage Dune was transferred to Council in December 2009 from Australand Holdings Limited as part of a progressive transfer of certain parcels of land into public ownership. This PoM has been prepared to categorise this site. It applies to an area in the Cronulla Sand Dune and Wanda Beach Coastal Landscape located at Kurnell.
Council resolved on 11 April 2011 to amend the Plan of Management North Cronulla Heritage Dune to permit dogs to access the dune area. The plan which was initially adopted by Council on 22 November 2010 prohibited dogs from accessing the dune area.
