Summary
This program examines the creative use of native plants by Aboriginal people. Horticulturalist John Belling displays many of these plants (such as the banksia, macadamia, downy leaf rasp pod, bird catching tree, mat-rush, lawyer cane and soap bark) from the Aboriginal Resources Trail in Melbourne's Royal Botanic Garden and demonstrates their use as food, medicine, tools and weapons.
