This image has been preserved and made available by the Historical Records Rescue Consortium (HRRC) Project supported by Lotterywest. Title supplied by cataloguer. Workmen clearing crates of glass bottles dropped on to the road from a truck. The truck had been turning from Riverside Drive around Union Jack-square. A Tram has stopped near the crates which have 'Austglass' stamped on them. Written on negative: Tram No 19, 12/4/1950. Union Jack Square was also known as Flagstaff Square, Barrack Square and Harper Square. Published in the West Australian Newspaper 13.4.1950.
