FIRE AT A DWELLING
A six-roomed cottage, occupied by Mr. J.
Bennetto, and owned by Mrs H. T. Ed-
wards, was the scene of a fire early Thurs
day morning. Mrs Bennetto, who had
arranged to go to Stuart Mill by the early
coach, went into the dining-room with a
light to see the time, and it is surmised
the curtains in the hall became acciden
tally ignited as she passed. The place
was soon ablaze, and the inmates had to
make a hasty exit. The house was in
sured for £125, and the furniture for £120.
