Yesterday morning a gloom was cast
over Wilcannia when it was announced
that Mr. John McCormack, had passed
away sudenly at approximately 7.45
a.m.
Since December 1939 when he took
up the position of Town Clerk here the
late Mr. McCormack made for himself
a host of friends and the regret felt at
his sudden demise will be universal.
Of a quiet and unassuming disposi-
